the death of modern individualism?

its so easy to reblog, retweet and copy then paste things you like. when we have our own ideas are we no longer allowed to voice them before someone else does? even the people who strive to stand out from the crowd, in their own way, are seen as the outcrowd, and put in a group together by the majority.  even the weird and outlying blogs are reblogging from other people, tying together an outcast community, which seems to be growing in popularity all the time. not only are original thoughts shared rarely now, someone else will most likely adopt it as their own status update, blog post or somehow reuse it, as it is fairly close to an idea they once had too, or just something that appealed to them at the time. im finding that more and more depth and meaning behind what is shared is being lost in translation: no one has shared the same experience and reacted in the same way, one update could affect two people in completely different ways but they might adopt it anyway.

is it a compliment to be copied now? or are people losing their imagination and identity to others in doing so?

Don’t forget that tomorrow is “Tell a Stranger About Ska Day” go out and spread the message, Rudy!

via anon: QuipText is a service that lets iPhone users send picture messages to others over the internet. The service works by saving the image as a webpage on their server with its own unique URL and then texting the person in question the url. The only problem? They’re only using 5 alphanumeric, noncase-sensitive characters for the URL, meaning it can be brute forced in a few seconds.

it’s like a lottery.

this one came from the friday afternoon lack of concentration and procrastination, and a recurrign theme of tv’s seems to be emerging. ended up with red raw fingertips after making this (from a single paperclip, if you cant tell from the photo) but i think it was worth it. now its sitting under my computer monitor as i work

Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.

i wish i understood…

why people don’t see the signs and continue to make the same mistakes over and over agian when they know, deep down, the result will not change from the last time?

why do people push others limits and not expect the worst when they push too far?

what makes people think they are so hard done by when they force themselves into situations they cannot handle?

why are we all so content to keep taking and taking from other people but hardly ever prepared to give anything back?
